BIOGRAPHY

I’m a passionate fashion executive and creative leader for global fashion brands with an emphasis on womenswear fashion. I consider myself a creative strategist, brand-builder and holistic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit. In my opinion a strong strategic vision results in the ability to achieve commercial success by refocusing the brand DNA. I believe a hands-on mentality, results-oriented, customer-focused approach is needed to drive profits and growth in a fast-paced retail environment. That’s what I do best.

I’m an inspirational and effective creative leader with an exceptional background in fashion design, trend research & forecast, market analysis, brand management, fashion marketing, product development, and merchandising. I’ve led international and diverse design teams to success in all age segments, product categories, and developing processes - always through motivational and empowering team building. Throughout my career, I have successfully re-launched several international brands. My experience in developing collections for omni-channel businesses is outstanding. Furthermore, I see change management and ‘out of the box’ thinking as a key element for future success.

With over 30 years of proven experience, 15 of which leading fashion teams on the role of head of design and 10 years as trend scout/fashion consultant, I pride myself a real fashion design professional. I have held long-term creative leadership roles at ESPRIT
 and at O’STIN, which is the largest and most successful vertical fashion retailer in Russia with over 700 stores. As the Head of Design ESPRIT for their largest womenswear division, I was responsible for the creative & strategic vision of the global collection. At O’STIN, I brought the strategic internationalization of the brand to life while my role contained the creative responsibility for the 5 womenswear divisions and the professional leadership for the design teams.  My footstep at ORSAY's Head of Design is a clearly re-shaped collection with a strong storytelling, a visible modernized handwriting and a consumer-focused product assortment - while re-focussing on the new brand DNA. As a trend scout & fashion consultant, I’ve provided my international clients with colour cards, mood boards, trend stories and market analysis while doing intensive trend research and storecheck trips. 

Having lived many years in Germany but worked for international brands & clients, and also lived in Moscow while gaining experience of the Russian market as well as of China, I bring an international retail experience and global knowledge that deftly balances creativity, strategy, commerciality and decisiveness with a positive attitude.
